Soccer Game Preview: Faith Lutheran vs. Foothill

The Faith Lutheran Crusaders will square off against the Foothill Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Lutheran's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Faith Lutheran beats Foothill with two goals on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Crusaders won by a goal and slipped past Canyon Springs 2-1. Nicholas Fitzgerald had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Faith Lutheran.

Meanwhile, Foothill kept a clean sheet against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon on Wednesday. They blew past the Pirate 7-0. The result was nothing new for Foothill, who have now won five matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Faith Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-4-4 record this season. As for Foothill, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.
