Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Huskies vs. Cottonwood Colts
Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Cottonwood Colts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hillcrest of the 20-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Wednesday.
Hillcrest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mika'Ele Alcivar, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
On Cottonwood's side, they got a massive performance out of Isaiah Cosby, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, a run, and a double. Another player making a difference was Austin Carver, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Cottonwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-11.
Hillcrest will head out on the road to square off against Stansbury at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Cottonwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
