Basketball Recap: Comer Takes a Loss

Comer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 76-9 defeat at the hands of the Midfield Patriots. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-6.

Midfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamiya Webb, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Webb has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 47 times she's played. Otiscia Towns was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten steals.

Comer's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Midfield, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Comer will challenge Altamont at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Midfield, they will face off against Childersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
