            Baseball Preview: Celina Bulldogs vs. Kenton Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            The Celina Bulldogs will head out on the road to  challenge  the Kenton Wildcats  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Kenton took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Celina, who comes in off a win.
Celina will bounce into Thursday's   contest after  beating Shawnee, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Indians by a score of  9-6  on Tuesday. The  win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

 Braylon Steinbrunner
 Braylon Steinbrunner made a splash no matter where he played. He  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because Celina is 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 1-6 otherwise. Steinbrunner was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Logan Sapp was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and two  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  him a new career-high.
 Meanwhile, Kenton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost  10-3 to Elida.
 Celina's  victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-7. As for Kenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Celina beat Kenton 7-3  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
