Basketball Recap: Barker Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Barker had lost four straight headed into Monday's match, but Jordyn Kinne didn't let it get to five. The Barker Bulldogs came out on top against the Cleveland Hill Golden Eagles by a score of 36-29 on Monday thanks in part to Kinne, who posted 12 points along with seven boards and four steals. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Hailey Dodge was another key player, putting up seven points along with six rebounds and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Barker's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barker will head out to face off against Newfane at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cleveland Hill, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Buffalo Academy of Science at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
