Baseball Recap: Ephrata Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Ephrata, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Manheim Township Blue Streaks on Monday. This was payback for the Mountaineers, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ephrata saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Prange, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Prange has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another was Landry Weidner, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Ephrata's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Manheim Township, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
