Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Washburn

Washburn came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Richardton-Taylor Raiders 82-38. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 27 points or more this season.

Washburn's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.2 points over those games. As for Richardton-Taylor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Washburn will take on Killdeer at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Richardton-Taylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
