Liverpool is 9-1 against West Genesee since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Warriors will square off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Liverpool's offense. They fell just short of Cicero-North Syracuse by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by just one run.

Rome Free Academy hit West Genesee with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats fell just short of the Black Knights by a score of 9-7. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Emma Dickerson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. Kyra Lynch was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Liverpool and nudges their season record down to 2-4. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for West Genesee, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Liverpool came out on top in a nail-biter against West Genesee in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
