Meyersdale has gone a perfect 10-0 against Rockwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Red Raiders will square off against the Rockets at 4:30 p.m.

Meyersdale is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Claysburg-Kimmel on Tuesday. They lost 10-1 to the Bulldogs.

Meyersdale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendell Donaldson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Rockwood made sure to put some runs up on the board against Shade on Tuesday. The Rockets were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over the Panthers. The game was the first time the Rockets have beaten the Panthers on their field since May 13, 2022.

Paelyn Sanner made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Brown, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Miley Pletcher was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Rockwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shade only posted a batting average of .222.

Meyersdale's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rockwood, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Meyersdale took their victory against Rockwood in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-2 score. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
