Volleyball Recap: Grand Valley's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Grand Valley came tearing into Saturday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Champion Golden Flashes 3-0. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Flashes, too.

Grand Valley got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-10, 25-23.

Rylee Rogers paced Grand Valley's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rogers got some help from Raegan Williams and her 15 assists. Rogers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Grand Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Champion, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Grand Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Bristol on the 15th. As for Champion, they are taking a road trip to square off against Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
