Football Game Preview: North Shelby vs. Braymer/Breckenridge

Braymer/Breckenridge will look to defend their home turf on Friday against North Shelby at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close matchup.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-70, which was the final score in Braymer/Breckenridge's tilt against Worth County/Northeast Nodaway last Friday. Braymer/Breckenridge's defeat came about despite a quality game from sophomore Parker Shoe, who rushed for 79 yards and 1 touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring high against Christian Life/Keith Country Day/Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy two weeks ago, Icarus fell to the ground. North Shelby were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 22-28 to Norborne/Hardin-Central.

Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
