Recap: Knightstown Panthers vs. Northeastern Knights

The Knightstown Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Northeastern 67-23. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Knightstown in their matchups with Northeastern: they've now lost seven in a row.

Knightstown got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Anna Roberson and Destiny Mcglothin, who each put up six points. Taylor Reagan held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with five assists.

Northeastern's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Mikesell, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and three steals. Mikesell hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Adysson Kircher, who scored 17 points along with five steals.

Knightstown has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Northeastern, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6.

Knightstown will take on Cambridge City Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northeastern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
