Veterans Memorial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Boerne-Champion Chargers by a score of 46-39. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Chargers back in January, they had to take a 52-46 loss.

Veterans Memorial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dj Jordan led the charge by putting up 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Hailey, who posted seven points along with five assists and five boards.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kristian Herrera, who went 5-for-10 en route to 11 points. Nikolas Georgelos was another key player, scoring eight points.

Veterans Memorial's win bumped their record up to 19-13. As for Boerne-Champion, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-12 record this season.

Veterans Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-43 defeat against Alamo Heights on the 11th. As for Boerne-Champion, they have also already played their next contest, a 60-56 loss against Smithson Valley on the 11th.
