Basketball Recap: Plainfield North Takes a Loss

Plainfield North lost against Minooka back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Plainfield North Tigers fell to the Minooka Indians 53-49.

It was another big night for Madelyn Kiper, who went 8 of 16 en route to 23 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks for Minooka. Kiper's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Kendall Thomas was another key player, putting up eight points and six assists.

Plainfield North's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Minooka, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Plainfield North has already played their next game, a 44-43 defeat against Metea Valley on the 8th. As for Minooka, they will head out on the road to challenge Oswego at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Minooka is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
