Basketball Recap: Friendship Tech Prep Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Friendship Collegiate Academy

On Thursday, Friendship Tech Prep Academy faced Friendship Collegiate Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Friendship Tech Prep Academy Titans were outmatched by the Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights and fell 58-12. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Friendship Collegiate Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Miyazia Harris, who went 11 of 17 en route to 25 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Harris a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonae McKnight, who made all 5 shots she took for 11 points and six steals.

Friendship Tech Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Friendship Collegiate Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.
