Football Game Preview: Hobgood Charter Raiders vs. Weldon Chargers + Official Tickets

The Hobgood Charter Raiders will challenge the Weldon Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Hobgood Charter was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 26-20 to Bear Grass Charter. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Hobgood Charter got top-tier performance from Jacob Tutor, who rushed for 104 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Tutor has become a key player for the Raiders: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-4 otherwise. Armanti Alston also helped out with an impressive 84 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Weldon's offense. They were dealt a 60-0 loss at the hands of Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy on Friday.
