Basketball Game Preview: Charlotte Christian Knights vs. Ben Lippen Falcons

Having just played yesterday, the Charlotte Christian Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Ben Lippen Falcons at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Charlotte Christian's offense hasn't had much luck over their past five contests, but Saturday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Charlotte Christian is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Providence Day on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Charlotte Christian was outmatched by Providence Day and fell 52-5. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-5.

Despite the defeat, Charlotte Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sierra Myers posted four points.

Meanwhile, Ben Lippen was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Providence Athletic Club 57-14. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Ben Lippen is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Charlotte Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Charlotte Christian strolled past Ben Lippen in their previous matchup back in December of 2018 by a score of 43-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for Charlotte Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
