Baseball Recap: Columbian Tornadoes vs. Bellevue Redmen

Columbian lost against Bellevue on April 11th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tornadoes took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redmen. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Isaiah Tilse made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Johnny Bremyer, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Columbian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Bellevue, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Columbian and Bellevue could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Tornadoes (ranked 470th) will meet Norwalk (ranked 133rd) at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bellevue will square off against Perkins at 4:45 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (293 vs. 122).
