Basketball Recap: Parker Haegg's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ozanam over Midland Adventist Academy

Ozanam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 45-22 to the Midland Adventist Academy Mustangs. Ozanam was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Ozanam's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Haegg, who posted eight points and four steals.

Midland Adventist Academy found their leader in sophomore Aiden Cowan, who went 8 for 15 en route to 17 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. Jordan Owolabi was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Ozanam's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Midland Adventist Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Ozanam wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 37-31 defeat against Guadalupe Centers on the 30th. As for Midland Adventist Academy, they will take on Sunnydale Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
