Basketball Game Preview: Mariner Marauders vs. Lake Stevens Vikings

The Mariner Marauders will square off against the Lake Stevens Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mariner's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

Last Friday, Mariner didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Kamiak, but they still walked away with a 61-57 win.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Stevens). They claimed a resounding 83-53 victory over Cascade. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Mariner now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Lake Stevens, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-7.
