Football Game Preview: Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler vs. Joseph Eagles

Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler will head out to challenge the Joseph Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Joseph likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-48 to Dayville/Monument/Long Creek. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (38), Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Joseph never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Jordan Valley, posting a 54-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Joseph's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler and Joseph were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, but Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler suffered an agonizing 34-33 loss. Can Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
