Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Carson Riva and Gino Ferrari Lead St. Bede to Victory + How To Watch

St. Bede won the last time they faced Lowpoint-Washburn and things went their way on Friday too. The Bruins enjoyed a cozy 63-46 win over the Wildcats. The Bruins pushed the score to 54-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.

St. Bede was led to victory by Gino Ferrari and Carson Riva. Ferrari dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Riva went 5-for-8 on his way to 15 points and three steals. Ferrari is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alec Tomsha, who posted six points and six rebounds.

St. Bede was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

St. Bede now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, they dropped their record down to 6-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

St. Bede and Princeville will round out the year against one another at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Stark County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will be up against the Rebels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.43 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
