Baseball Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Gets the Win

Capistrano Valley Christian came out on top against Western Christian on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. The Eagles walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Fighting Lancers. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Dominic French, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Casarietti, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Capistrano Valley Christian now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Western Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Capistrano Valley Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against Western Christian: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
