Basketball Recap: Thomasville Find Success

Thomasville won the last time they faced Jeff Davis and things went their way on Saturday too. The Thomasville Bulldogs managed a 70-65 victory over the Jeff Davis Yellowjackets.

Among those leading the charge was Antoine Garland Jr., who posted 16 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jordan Mitchell, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points.

Despite the loss, Jeff Davis still got an impressive performance from Latrell Sellers, who scored 26 points. Those 26 points gave Sellers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Varis Bryant, who earned 15 points.

Thomasville's record now sits at 14-10. As for Jeff Davis, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Thomasville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jeff Davis, they will challenge Brantley County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jeff Davis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Brantley County likes a good challenge.
