The Jesuit Marauders will face off against the Armijo Royals at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Jesuit comes in on three and Armijo on five.
Jesuit is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They put the hurt on Bradshaw Christian with a sharp  17-3 win on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Marauders with their most commanding win of the  season.
 Sammy Kane made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in 13 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-5 with two  RBI and one  run.

 In other batting news, Jesuit got a  massive  performance out of  Cade Colombara, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Those  four  hits gave  Colombara a new career-high.  Petey Palko was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
Meanwhile, Armijo had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Cordova by a score of  7-4  on Monday.
Like Jesuit, Armijo also got a great game from a two-way player:  Willie Nickson. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits. Nickson was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Chase Lewis was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Juan Uscanga, who  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI and one  run.
 Armijo's victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 19-8-1. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Jesuit, their victory bumped their record up to 19-9.
 Jesuit skirted past Armijo  1-0 when the teams last played  back in May of 2022. Will the Marauders repeat their success,  or do  the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
