South View entered their tilt with Enloe on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They managed a 62-58 win over the Enloe Eagles. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Eagles are ranked 422nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yabniel Cheveres, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Darin Word, who had ten points and six boards.

South View smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Enloe only pulled down 11 offensive boards.

Enloe's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Preston Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Daylen Chamblee, who put up seven points along with five assists and three steals.

South View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Enloe, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South View will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Douglas Byrd at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. South View is facing Douglas Byrd at the right time seeing as Douglas Byrd is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Enloe, they will head out to challenge Broughton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Broughton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.8 points per game this season.
