Basketball Recap: Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Comes Up Short

Wyndmere/Lidgerwood lost against Maple River back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Warbirds took a blow against the Maple River Eagles, falling 64-33. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warbirds came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 64th in North Dakota, while the Eagles are ranked 207th in Minnesota).

Wyndmere/Lidgerwood's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Maple River, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 22-20 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wyndmere/Lidgerwood will host Richland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maple River, they will face off against Hayfield at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
