Football Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Ferguson

There's no place like home for Ferguson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over the Hialeah Thoroughbreds on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won five matches by 20 points or more so far this season.

Ferguson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Arianna Madsen out in front who threw for 123 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Madsen a new career-high in rushing yards (21). Daniella Talgier was Madsen's top target, picking up 19 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Ferguson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Emely Naranjo.

Ferguson pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 1.4 points on average over those games. As for Hialeah, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Ferguson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-6 win against Coral Gables on the 14th. As for Hialeah, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-0 defeat against Northwestern on the 9th.
