Softball Recap: Timberline Gets the Win

Timberline's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They skirted past the Thunder Ridge Titans 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolves have posted since April 2, 2024.

Delaney Wright made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 17 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI.

Wright wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mallorie Casch, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Timberline's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Thunder Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Timberline will be playing at home against Mountain View at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thunder Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
