Soccer Game Preview: Lake Central vs. Munster

The Lake Central Indians will take on the Munster Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lake Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Merrillville get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for Lake Central, who have now won seven matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Munster waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against Wolves by a score of 2-0. Give Munster's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Munster's victory bumped their record up to 9-7-2. As for Lake Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-1.

Lake Central beat Munster by a goal in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
