Basketball Recap: Throckmorton Comes Up Short

Throckmorton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 32nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Perrin-Whitt Pirates 109-18. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1715th, while the Pirates are ranked 403rd).

Throckmorton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Perrin-Whitt, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-5.

Throckmorton will take on Bryson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bryson will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Throckmorton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Perrin-Whitt, they will square off against Garner at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Garner has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
