Basketball Game Preview: R-S Central Hilltoppers vs. East Rutherford Cavaliers

R-S Central is 1-9 against East Rutherford since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The R-S Central Hilltoppers will face off against the East Rutherford Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, R-S Central beat Patton 42-30. That 12 point margin sets a new team best for the Hilltoppers this season.

Meanwhile, after only 19 points in their last contest, East Rutherford made sure to put some points up on the board against Patton on Tuesday. East Rutherford blew past Patton 56-19.

R-S Central better keep an eye on Bella Harris. She was instrumental in East Rutherford's win, putting up 19 points. Saige Harris was another key player, posting 12 points.

R-S Central's record is now 3-10. As for East Rutherford, their record now sits at an identical 3-10.

R-S Central came up short against East Rutherford when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 52-39. Can R-S Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
