Basketball Recap: Joseph City Picks Up 14th Straight Win at Home

Joseph City extended their home winning streak to 14 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Audrey Neill. The Joseph City Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Red Rock Scorpions 78-14 thanks in part to Neill, who dropped a triple-double on 26 points, ten rebounds, and 12 steals. Those 26 points gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydiana Kinlicheenie, who went 5 for 6 on her way to 11 points and five steals. She also posted a block, marking her first of the season.

Red Rock's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maya Esquer-Morales, who posted four points. Another player making a difference was Karina Rodriguez, who had four points.

Joseph City's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Red Rock, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Joseph City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-29 victory against Valley on the 9th. As for Red Rock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-6 defeat against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy on the 15th.
