Basketball Recap: South Range Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

South Range waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Hubbard Eagles by a score of 45-37. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 45-44 back in December of 2025.

Despite the loss, Hubbard still got an impressive performance from Khamyah Howell, who went 5-for-12 on her way to 19 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. Howell has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Claire Murphy was another key player, putting up ten points and seven boards.

South Range's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Hubbard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Range won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Girard at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hubbard, they will be playing at home against Lakeview at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
