La Crescent wins going away against Wabasha-Kellogg

Recap: La Crescent Lancers vs. Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons

The La Crescent Lancers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against Wabasha-Kellogg as La Crescent made off with a 67-44 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory La Crescent has posted yet this season.

Ileana DeAngel and Brielle Adams certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. DeAngel dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Adams scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. DeAngel also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Kylee Metcalf, who scored four points along with two steals.

Even though they lost, Wabasha-Kellogg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. This was only their eighth loss (out of nine games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

La Crescent is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

La Crescent will head out on the road to face off against Plainview-Elgin-Millville at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cotter at 7:15 p.m. Cotter has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 799 points over their last 12 matches.
