Sugar-Salem is 8-2 against South Fremont since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sugar-Salem Diggers will head out on the road to face off against the South Fremont Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Sugar-Salem is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Sugar-Salem is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Teton, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Sugar-Salem was ranked second). Sugar-Salem strolled past Teton with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 65-47.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Fremont). Everything went their way against Firth on Wednesday as South Fremont made off with a 70-48 win. South Fremont has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Sugar-Salem's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for South Fremont, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-2.

Sugar-Salem strolled past South Fremont when the teams last played last Wednesday by a score of 55-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sugar-Salem since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
