Basketball Recap: Campus Magnet's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Townsend Harris, Campus Magnet was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They managed a 33-28 win over the Long Island City Bulldogs. Given Campus Magnet's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Long Island City is ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Campus Magnet's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Long Island City, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Campus Magnet is taking a road trip to challenge Bayside at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Long Island City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bowne at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
