Basketball Recap: Selinsgrove Comes Up Short

Selinsgrove lost against Loyalsock Township back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Selinsgrove Seals were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to the Loyalsock Township Lancers.

Despite the defeat, Selinsgrove had strong showings from Xaivier Jackson, who posted 17 points, and Gavin Bastian, who had 13 points.

Selinsgrove has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Loyalsock Township, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Selinsgrove will take on Williamsport at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Loyalsock Township, they will host Mifflinburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
