Baseball Recap: Valley Forge Military Academy Comes Up Short

Valley Forge Military Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 23 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-10 in the process. They lost 18-1 to the Calvary Christian Academy Cougars. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Valley Forge Military Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vinicius Leite, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

As for Calvary Christian Academy, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.8 runs.

On Calvary Christian Academy's side, Jesse Egan and Levi Salmon did most of the damage at the plate: Egan got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Salmon went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave Salmon a new career-high. Kenneth Davis was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Coincidentally, Valley Forge Military Academy and Calvary Christian Academy will both be playing Bristol the next time they take the field. The Cougars will host the Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
