Softball Preview: Marquette Mustangs vs. Hillsboro Hawks        
        
		
             The Marquette Mustangs are taking a road trip to  face off against the Hillsboro Hawks  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their  matches after big wins in their previous games.
 Hillsboro is hoping to do what Blair Oaks couldn't  last Saturday: put an end to Marquette's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Marquette blew past Blair Oaks 11-1.
 Meanwhile, Hillsboro came tearing into  Tuesday's  contest with five straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Black Cats as they made off with  an  11-1 win. Considering the Hawks have won seven games by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Hillsboro let  Sophie Errante and  Ashley Hilton loose on the outfield. Errante  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with four  RBI, a  stolen base,  and a  run, while  Hilton  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances. What's more,  Hilton also posted a .800  OBP, which is the highestshe's  posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was  Allison Uphoff, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hillsboro  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .550. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive  matchups.
 Marquette has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record  this season. As for Hillsboro, they pushed their record up to 15-8 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
