Volleyball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Highland Prep Honey Badgers. The Dust Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Honey Badgers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

River Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-22.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Highland Prep, they moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. River Valley will face off against rival Kingman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Highland Prep is set to challenge their familiar foe Chino Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
