Volleyball Recap: Manzanola Comes Up Short

Manzanola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Holly Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Manzanola ultimately came up short, they really made Holly work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-11, 25-11.

Manzanola's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Holly, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Manzanola and Holly will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bobcats will square off against rival La Veta at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Holly is set to face off against their familiar foe Walsh at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
