Softball Game Preview: West Fork Gators vs. Rusk Eagles

The West Fork Gators will square off against the Rusk Eagles at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. One thing working in West Fork's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.

West Fork's tournament run continued when they took on Jacksonville on Thursday. The Gators blew past the Fightin' Indians 18-2. Fans of the Gators have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Jenna Haley and Felicity Acosta did most of the damage at the plate: Haley went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Acosta went 1-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Ellenberger, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

West Fork always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .548 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Rusk and Tarkington finished up on equal footing with a 7-7 tie on Thursday.

West Fork's win bumped their record up to 3-0. Rusk's tie makes their record 1-0-1 this season.
