Volleyball Recap: Mount Paran Christian's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Mount Paran Christian lost against Marist back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the War Eagles. The loss put an end to the Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

While Mount Paran Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20.

Layla Dunn paced Mount Paran Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Dunn got some help from Avery Kohler and her 18 assists.

Marist found their leader in freshman Sawyer Straley, who had ten digs and five assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mount Paran Christian fell to 2-1.

Coincidentally, Mount Paran Christian and Marist will both be playing Blessed Trinity the next time they take the court. The War Eagles will head out to face the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
