Volleyball Recap: Houma Christian Takes Down Red River in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Houma Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Red River Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Houma Christian was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-15.

Houma Christian was led to victory by Riley Folse and Ansley Molaison. Folse had five aces and three digs, while Molaison had seven digs. That's the most aces Folse has posted since back in October.

They weren't the only good servers: Houma Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Houma Christian's win bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Red River, with the loss, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-9.

As of now, neither Houma Christian nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
