Softball Recap: Siloam Springs Comes Up Short

Siloam Springs fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Russellville on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cyclones by a score of 5-4. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 14-7 to the Cyclones when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Siloam Springs dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Russellville, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Siloam Springs will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Harrison at 5:00 p.m. on April 1. Siloam Springs is facing Harrison at the right time seeing as Harrison is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Russellville, they will host Carlisle at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
