Volleyball Recap: Columbus Gets the Win

Columbus hadn't done well against Fort Scott recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Titans walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers. The Titans were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Tigers, so the Titans were just returning the favor.

While Columbus won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23.

Columbus' win bumped their record up to 4-21-1. As for Fort Scott, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-23.

Coincidentally, Columbus and Fort Scott will both be playing Girard the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
