Destiny Harrison was nothing short of spectacular: she posted 17 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaitlin Sterzer, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.
Taylorsville was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, West Jordan hadn't done well against Hunter recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. West Jordan took down Hunter 58-41.
West Jordan's win came from a few key players Taylorsville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Marlee Reupena, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Giselle Muffett, who put up 22 points and six rebounds.
West Jordan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Taylorsville has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.2 rebounds per game.
