Baseball Recap: Adelanto Continues Road Dominance on Friday

While Adelanto's win against Barstow wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Saints' pitchers stepped up to hand the Aztecs a 2-0 shutout on Friday. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Aztecs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Adelanto's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Barstow, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adelanto will face off against Woodcrest Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Barstow, they will take on Victor Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
