After a string of four wins, Corner Canyon's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Herriman Mustangs, falling 13-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Chargers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jacob Troast was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Corner Canyon's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Herriman, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-6.
